Steel Challenge

Steel Challenge Shooting Association

Action pistol speed matches second Sunday and fourth Saturday of each month.

  • Four of the eight official Steel Challenge stages each match. All eight stages every month.
  • 100 rounds of ammunition if you never miss. (Bring 200 to be safe.)
  • Categories for most centerfire and .22 rimfire handguns.

New shooters are welcome. You do not have to be an SCSA member.

Pima Pistol is an SCSA member club.

What You Need

  • Eye and ear protection.
  • A pistol or revolver, caliber 9mm or larger.
  • Spare magazines, speedloaders, or moon clips.
  • Belt, holster, and magazine/speedloader/clip carriers (not required for .22 rimfire).
  • Water and sunscreen.

Schedule

  • 7:30 am - Stage setup
  • 8:30 am - Registration
  • 9:00 am - Shooting starts

We shoot four the the eight official SCSA stages at each match. Right now the schedule is:

  • Second Sunday: Accelerator, Five to Go, Outer Limits, Pendulum.
  • Fourth Saturday: Roundabout, Showdown, Smoke & Hope, Speed Option.

This is subject to change at the match directors' whim.

  • $10 Pima Pistol Club member
  • $15 Non-member
