ACTS
American Confederation of Tactical Shooters
ACTS shooters practice rifle and pistol skills in real-world tactical situations.
Shooters can compete in one of five divisions:
- Service: Rifle in .223 Remington/5.45x39 or larger, with at least eight-round magazine and iron sights.
- Enhanced: Rifle in .223 Remington/5.45x39 or larger with fixed-power or non-magnifying optics.
- Open: Rifle in .223 Remington/5.45x39 or larger with any of the following:
- Variable power optics,
- Multiple optical sighting systems,
- Bipod,
- Full auto capability,
- Muzzle brake.
- Rimfire: Any rifle firing rimfire ammunition.
- Other Rifle: Anything else.
Shooters use both rifles and handguns. There are no divisions for handguns, but they must be 9mm/.38 Special or larger, suitable for practical use, and optic sights (if installed) must be slide-mounted. See the ACTS Rule Book for details and exceptions.
ACTS matches are held the third Saturday of every month. New shooters are welcome, and you do not have to be an ACTS member.
